BULLETPROOF VS. PALEO VS. KETOGENIC DIETS
These charts from Dave Asprey’s blog at Bulletproof.com show the differences between three high profile low-carb diets.
After looking at each diagram, I realize there are foods that I’ve included into my own repertoire that are not strictly “keto”. For instance, I flavour most dishes with either yellow onions or spring onions, both grown at our closest farm which is five miles away. Mushrooms, nut butter, garlic and white rice are included rarely, about twice a month. I have decided to exclude completely things like peanuts, soy sauce, any sugar including honey and tofu. I used to have ham and bacon every week but there are so many worrying stories about processed meats that I eat them rarely, less than once a month.
