Based out of Vancouver, Canada, Green Avocado came about as a way to share my love of food with the world without the pretentious snobbishness of the “proper” review sites out there. My promise to you is that you will find nothing but the honest truth about anything and everything. From eating whale in Japan to Pho in Vietnam to local Vancouver restaurants, it’s my intention to make the food accessible to everyone, even if it’s your first time.
As time progresses, I’ll also be posting recipes and articles on how you can begin cooking in the kitchen. From simple to exquisite, I’ll be laying out recipes with as many shortcuts as possible so that you won’t have to go shopping for a long list of things that you’ll use only once. Having a wackload of ingredients is just annoying, so if I can get reasonably close with fewer, then it’s good enough for me.
In case you’re wondering, I don’t have any formal education in food and I have never attended a food class in my life. Anything you see is probably either ripped off from the Food Network or came about as a result of my experimenting. If you’re really curious, my background is in Finance.
Anyways, I hope that with this site, you can share the same passion for food that I do.
